PTFS Europe was formed in late 2007 to implement and support the Koha and Evergreen open source library management systems as well as distributing and supporting the Knowvation digital library.

PTFS Europe is able to provide the full range of implementation services, ranging from installation, configuration, data conversion, software development and training through to ongoing hosting and customer support.

Nick Dimant


Nick is a co-founder and Director of PTFS Europe. He is responsible for the sales and marketing activities of the company, takes an active role in and manages the sales team across all of the supported products, including Koha, Rebus:list, ArchivalWare, and Evergreen. He has a wide range of experience in all aspects of library automation and has been involved in many hundreds of implementations during his career. Prior to being at PTFS Europe, Nick was the Sales Director and co-founder of Sirsi Limited in the UK in 1990.

Jonathan Field - PTFS Europe Technical Director

Jonathan Field

Managing Director

Jonathan is a co-founder and Managing Director of PTFS Europe. He is responsible for building a modern, virtual company from a startup in 2007 to a company of almost 20 employees with revenues which have grown year on year. The company customer base has grown to over 100 libraries distributed across the public, academic, health, government, law and special markets serving an estimated user base of 3,000,000 people and over 600 library branches across Europe. Jonathan has been involved in the sales process for over 200 successful library tenders. He has been working in libraries and library automation since 1990 and has an excellent working knowledge of the standards and protocols used within libraries and information and is a key driver in the company’s technical strategy.

Ian Bays


Ian is Project Director, responsible for project management, data conversion and digitisation. He is an IT professional with over 30 years of experience of software development and software product management. He has managed software product implementations for libraries for the last 15 years from pre-sales meetings, project planning meetings, server setup, data conversion through to technical support and consultancy.


Fiona Borthwick

Customer Relationship Manager

Fiona is a Customer Relationship Manager. She works closely with customers on the implementation of their new Library Management System; running Implementation Workshops, configuring the system and doing the end user training. She is also part of the support team answering helpdesk queries on all the PTFS Europe supported products.
Fiona is a Chartered Librarian and has worked for PTFS Europe since 2011 and before that for SirsiDynix (previously Sirsi Ltd) for 10 years so has a lot of experience with LMS implementations and support.

Colin Campbell

Chief Software Engineer

Colin is Chief Software Engineer, responsible for the design, implementation and support of software developed for specific customers or for the open source community in general. He has considerable expertise in developing software for Evergreen and Koha as well as in the wider open source environment. He has a wealth of experience in the library sector.

Andrew Isherwood

Senior Software Developer

Andrew works in the Development Team as a Software Developer. He joined PTFS Europe in October 2014, and has thus far primarily been working on the rebus:list 2.0 rewrite. Following the initial release, he will be heavily involved in the continuing development and support of the product. Andrew has extensive experience in both front and back end application development. Prior to working for PTFS Europe, Andrew spent 14 years in the higher education sector working on application development associated with library management systems.

Lesley Jones

Business Development Manager

Lesley is Business Development Manager, specialising in developing new business for Koha, Rebus:list and Rebus:tutorial. She has a successful track record, having worked for a number of suppliers to the library marketplace in the past and has experience in working with all library sectors and managing strategic customer accounts.

Janet McGowan

Janet McGowan

Director of Operations

Janet is Director of Operations at PTFS Europe and responsible for all aspects of the training and support of software products promoted by company. She is a library systems professional with 20 years experience in the commercial and academic sectors. She worked for many years at the University of Leicester in the Systems team, and before that both with OCLC Europe and Soutron.

Jon McGowan

Technical Consultant

Jon is a Technical Consultant at PTFS Europe and assists with implementation, upgrades and management of the range of library products supported by company. Jon is an information professional who has worked as a systems librarian in school, college and university environments over the past 15 years.

Nick Phipps

Sales Director

Nick is responsible for the product strategy, business development of the Rebus:list reading list management system and business development of the ArchivalWare digital repository system. He has over 25 years sales and account management experience at a senior level, particularly within the academic and government sectors. His systems experience includes integrated library management, e-discovery services, and digital repository systems.


Martin Renvoize

Development Team Manager

Martin is a Development Team Manager, responsible for ensuring we deliver on our development promises. He bridges the gap between the development teams, sales teams and the customer to ensure we correctly prioritise, schedule and deliver work. Martin is also an active member of the Koha Community Quality Assurance team, and the lead visionary for the rebus:list 2.0 re-write. He’s been with the company since 2009, and has worked diversely with Koha, Evergreen and rebus:list as a migrations consultant, implementation manager and developer for all three products and is also a key driver in the company’s technical strategy.

David - PTFS Europe Customer Support Consultant

David Roberts

Support Lead

David is the Support Lead, and mainly works on the support calls logged by PTFS Europe’s customers, and also assists with system upgrades, implementations and some software development. He has worked in the library sector since 1996, and brings a wealth of customer support experience to the company.

Jon Turner

Infrastructure Manager

Jon is Infrastructure Manager at PTFS-Europe. He is responsible for the smooth running of hosted solutions and provides integration solutions to optimise library processes. He has a wide range of experience in IT Operations and has worked in high security and high performance environments in the financial services industry. He has many years of experience in project delivery in the libraries sector. Jon has improved the monitoring and alerting of PTFS-Europe’s hosted solution helping to further reduce any system downtime.

Lucy Vaux-Harvey

Lucy is Senior Customer Services Consultant at PTFS Europe and works closely with customers during implementation projects, including system configuration, training and on-going support of software products promoted by the company. She is a qualified librarian with 20 years’ experience in the health and academic sectors.
