The University of the Arts London has chosen the Koha open source library management system to replace its existing system. PTFS Europe will implement Koha and provide on-going hosting and support.  The project also includes a wide range of integration services including online payments, identity management, authentication, RFID and integration with Explorit federated search.  A key service being provided is the further enhancement of the public interface to precisely meet the needs of UAL’s library users.

Koha Library Management System

Koha is a completely web-based application for both staff and public access.  The system comprises core modules: acquisitions with EDI, circulation, cataloguing, serials and comprehensive reporting functionality. Koha integrates easily with other applications such as discovery, finance, student management and online payment systems.  The Koha online catalogue offers end users excellent search capabilities together with a full range of personalisation services.
