Using Google Chrome tools for CSS in Koha

On Andrew Isherwood’s mind this week are the Google Chrome CSS tools and how you can use them to help make tweaks to the Koha CSS (style sheets) to customise the OPAC and staff side of your Koha installation.

The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining has recently selected Koha open source LMS for their new library system

London, 23 November 2020

The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining chose Koha for its new library management system earlier this year with PTFS Europe providing implementation, on-going hosting and support services.

Koha now efficiently manages the Institute’s world-class library collection of materials, minerals and mining materials including a number of items of historical interest such as works by Sir Henry Bessemer. The capabilities and efficiencies offered by the new open source solution allows the Institute to consolidate their information offering and deliver an improved service to its users.

Koha Library Management System

The Koha library management system is a completely web-based application providing staff and public users with access to the system through web browsers. The system comprises core modules: acquisitions with EDI, circulation, cataloguing, serials and comprehensive reporting functionality. The Koha online catalogue (OPAC) offers end users excellent search capabilities together with a full range of personalisation services. Koha’s depth of functionality continues to develop to meet the changing needs of libraries and their users.

Koha allows users to discover our breadth of content, meets the IOM3 Library business requirements and allows us to deliver a superb service for our users.

Katherine Williams, Head of Content at IOM3

We are delighted that the Institute selected Koha and we welcome them as new customers. They will be joining our diverse and growing base of Koha customers from across the UK and Europe who are hosted and supported by PTFS Europe.
